The embedded speed test engine measures network throughput (download/upload speed, ping, and jitter) locally in your browser to display your results; these results are not tied to a personal profile on this site.
3. Third-party speed test engine
The speed test on this page is provided via the open-source, self-hosted OpenSpeedTest engine. When the test runs, your browser exchanges data with the test server solely to measure connection speed. We do not control third-party analytics that engine may independently employ; please refer to OpenSpeedTest's own terms for details on their infrastructure.
4. Cookies and local storage
This site does not use tracking cookies to build advertising profiles. Some browser storage may be used by the embedded test widget to remember display preferences during your session. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-conscious, aggregated analytics to understand overall traffic and improve the site (for example, which pages are visited and general performance metrics). This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.
